It used to be a woman wouldn’t leave the home without her purse, nowadays, neither woman nor man (nor children) will leave their homes without a collection of gadgets ranging from smartphones to e-readers to tablets. While having the ability to take these items where ever you go is great, many are not cheap, so you want to do you best to protect them.  I personally love to carry my eReader with me, but carrying it without a case was not the best way to protect it. That’s when I knew I needed an eReader sleeve.

I must have spent an hour on their site just looking at their selection of products! Everything was so pretty, with unique designs and patterns I haven’t seen elsewhere. Once I got to the eReader sleeves, after much debate,  I finally decided on the Garden Flower and Butterfly Vegan Leather sleeve and as soon as it arrived, I knew I had made the perfect choice!

This beautiful sleeve is part of the Elma collection.  It is made from certified toxic-free and eco-friendly vegan leather, and it has a padded foam interior to help protect your eReader.  It is a beautiful garnet red color with colorful flowers and butterflies embroidered on the front.  It does have a zipper closure, and will fit most standard eReaders at 7.9″ long, 5.5″ wide and 0.8″ thick (Kindle, Nook, Kobo).

   Until now, I wasn’t very familiar with vegan leather, so I wasn’t too sure about what to expect as far as the texture and durability.  Much to my surprise, you can hardly tell a difference!  It feels almost exactly like animal leather (so HAPPY no animals came into play in the making of this!), and is just as tough and durable.  

   The inside fabric is smooth and soft, so you do not have to worry about your screen getting scratched, and the foam padding is thick enough to provide a fair amount of protection without being bulky. I love that it has a zipper instead of a snap or latch;  it just seems much more secure.

As I mentioned above, all standard e-readers will fit inside this sleeve. My Kobo fits perfectly with enough room left over to add some papers and a pen or stylus as well.  I don’t have to worry about it sliding around or being so tight that it’s a fight to get it in and out.  I love that the entire thing can fit inside my purse or bag, or can be carried by itself.

The only thing I could think that would make this better was if there was a strap (maybe even a removable one) to make for easier carrying, but that is by no means a negative! Other than that, I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a stylish and durable e-reader case!
