The Beautiful Beaches

If you’re looking for heavenly beaches, then the island of Kos is an ideal destination. The island is home to magnificent beaches with clear crystal waters.

Kefalos beach also known as the paradise beach is one of the best beaches on the island. This fine sandy beach has clear waters whose waves will send chills of happiness and love into the hearts of families.

The Mastihari and Tigaki beaches are also popular for white sands and turquoise water. However, these beaches are very popular. Therefore, they are mostly crowded. The eastern part of the island has many isolated beaches for those that prefer to listen to the waves dancing in silence.

The Island also has a wide choice of water activities for water sports enthusiasts. You can go surfing, scuba diving, or rent a boat and explore the surroundings and coast of the island.

The Amazing Weather

The Kos Island enjoys a hot Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm summers.

If you’re a lover of warm climates, the best time to visit Kos in August. Then, the temperature is at its peak, often reaching up to 29°c and not dropping lower than 21°c. Also, it hardly rains during that time. Therefore, you can leave your raincoat at home and enjoy a 14-hour dose of sunshine.

If you’re a swimmer, that’s the best time to swim as the temperature of the sea is between 23°c to 26°c.

From October to November, the temperature becomes slightly cooler with more rainfall. It’s a great time to visit as the beaches as less crowded, and the temperature is cool, especially at night.

If you’re visiting around December to February, make sure you take an umbrella and a raincoat as the weather is mostly rainy.

The Delicious Food

Visiting Kos isn’t only about sightseeing and spending the day on beaches; there is also palatable food! The island is famous for its restaurants, bars, taverns, cafes, and coffee shops.

The Mediterranean cuisine is very diverse so that everyone will find something they like. If you’re a food lover, the Island of Kos will welcome you with cheese and other treats.

Greece has different recipes for young lambs, calves, goats, and chickens for the meat-eaters. If you’re a seafood lover, there are shellfish, sardines, red bullets, and whitebait.
