This is a sponsored post from Global Influence on behalf of Unilever. Regardless, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

One of my fondest childhood memories on a hot summer’s day was hearing the tinny chords of ‘The Mister Softee Jingle’ as the ice cream truck made its way through the neighborhood. We would all go running inside as fast as our little legs could carry us, yelling for Daddy and asking for a dollar for some ice cream. Jumping up and down with excitement, willing him to hurry as he went to get his wallet, then grabbing the money and taking off like a rocket back outside to the truck before the driver drove away.

More running, then finally reaching the truck and staring at all of those colorful pictures of cones, popsicles and ice cream sandwiches – oh! decisions, decisions! All followed – at last – by the cold, sweet taste of that childhood favorite treat!

Today the ice cream truck comes around maybe once or twice all summer long. Why sit around waiting on it when you can head to your local Walgreens to get your favorite Unilever Ice Cream treat?

My local Walgreens always carries a delicious variety of frozen treats by some of our favorite brands such as Magnum, Breyers, Klondike, Frutare and Popsicle! The selection is much bigger than what you could get off the truck, plus you can get an entire box of popsicles for what you would pay for just one off the truck!

Our family favorites have always been Breyers Vanilla, Klondike Ice Cream Bars and Frutare Strawberry and Milk Pops. They always taste so good and are quite refreshing on a hot summer’s day. I’ve always said that ice cream is the perfect summer treat that just can’t be beat! So don’t sit around in the heat waiting on the truck, head to one of the 8,125 Walgreens stores nationwide and grab your favorite treat today!

What are your family’s favorite ice cream treats?
