Green Virgin Products Review
Three more great products from Green Virgin Products! Products that are all–natural, eco-friendly and non-toxic! Three more great products that I highly recommend! The last two reviews I told you about an all-purpose cleaner and some laundry products. Today I want to tell you of three more cleaning products in a different category, personal care.
These include Green Virgin Products Moringa Tea, their hand-crafted Soap Nut & Morinaga Peppermint Bar Soap and an all-natural, aluminum-free Mineral Salts deodorant.
Moringa Tea Bags
The Moringa tree is found in the tropics. This vegetable has the highest content of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and protein content than any other plant! Since it is all natural, your body is able to absorb all these nutrients as opposed to vitamins which your body does not completely absorb and turns into waste.
In order for moringa to keep its nutritional value, it has to be processed and packaged following very specific guidelines, GVP is known to be among the best and highest quality in the world! Green Virgin Products has a variety of moringa products ranging from supplements to powders to tea to soap. I was given the opportunity to try the tea, and now I have a favorite new drink!
The leaves of the Moringa tree, which are found in the tropics, are extremely easy to harvest, are drought-resistant and sustainable. They contain vitamins A and C, calcium, potassium and proteins, and the benefits are many! I was not expecting it to taste very good, but I was surprised! It actually has a very pleasant taste similar to regular, un-sweetened tea, with a pleasant earthy aroma.
The tea itself is not too dark, more like an amber color. There is no bitterness, and it didn’t even need any added sugar. Like the necessity of proper packaging, you also have to be careful when making hot moringa tea not to heat the water over 140 degrees or the moringa may lose some of it’s nutritional value. You can also serve it over ice, which is the next way I plan to try it.
Soap Nut & Moringa Peppermint Bar Soap
This 5 ounce bar of soap is hand crafted and all-natural. Made with soap nuts, moringa and peppermint, it not only smells wonderful, but leaves skin incredibly soft and clean. Since they do not add the soap nuts in powder form, you get lots and lots of luscious lather, and the moringa is added for its healing properties for problems such as eczema and psoriasis.
It is a completely non-toxic soap, using only natural essential oils, not the toxic fragrance oils, which are known to contain carcinogens! Ingredients include soap nuts liquid, Moringa leaf powder, olive oil, coconut oil, palm kernel oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, peppermint essential oil and sodium hydroxide.
One of my favorite things about this soap is how nice it smells; peppermint is incredibly refreshing and clean smelling! It is a dark brownish green in color and has an engraving of a dragonfly on the face of the soap. Like I mentioned above, it really does create a good amount of lather, and leaves my skin very soft and squeaky clean! It does not have an oily or waxy feel at all. This is definitely one of the better hand-crafted soaps I have used!
Mineral Salts Deodorant Stone
This non-toxic, aluminum-free, carcinogen-free deodorant is made from pure mineral salts. It prevents odors as opposed to covering them up with toxic perfumes. It will not stain your clothes, nor will it harm the environment. It is hypoallergenic, so it will not cause rashes, and should last well over a year with normal use.
How does it work, you ask? Simple. When the human body sweats, the moisture comes in contact with bacteria that lives on our skin, the bacteria begin to multiply, this multiplying causes the odor. The mineral salts deodorant stone leaves a thin layer of salts on the skin in which the bacteria cannot survive, therefore, no odor.
Some people do report a change-over period of a few days where they noticed an odor. It is thought that this occurs because when using an antiperspirant, it actually clogs the pores underneath your arms and toxins build up.
Once you stop using the antiperspirant, the pores become unclogged and out comes the toxins, hence a slight odor. This happens to very, very few people. If you happen to be one, just use cologne or perfume for a day or two until the change-over period ends.
Although this is not the first all-natural deodorant I have tried, it is the first mineral salts stone deodorant. It is very easy to use, you just get the stone slightly damp, then rub it under your arms. It is completely different than any other deodorant I have ever tried in that you cannot even tell you have any on!
As soon as you apply the damp stone salts, it quickly dries, and is not sticky at all. It actually feels quite refreshing without leaving any kind of thick film like I would get when using my old deodorants. Plus, it is completely clear, so you don’t have to worry about any stains on your clothes.
I was impressed with how well it worked! I noticed no odor at all, regardless of how hot I became! It also controlled the amount of sweat, and I have noticed there are no more bumps under my arms like I would get when I used other deodorants.
Another great thing, one stick will only cost you $5.99, since you only need a thin layer, this stone will last you at the very least, one entire year! Imagine how much money this can save!! I really love this mineral salt deodorant stone, and would recommend it to anyone, male or female!
My Opinion
Like all the other Green Virgin Products I have told you about over the last few days, I am very impressed and pleased with all three of these! All products can be purchased through the Green Virgin Products website, and all are quite affordable! Whether you are cleaning your home, your laundry or clearing you body of toxins, Green Virgin Products has a wonderful selection of all-natural, non-toxic products to help you get the job done!
