For most people, learning a second language is a goal they would like to achieve sooner or later. However, learning a foreign language can be a lot more challenging than it seems. There are several ways you can go about learning a foreign language, such as attending a language class, traveling to that country, and even by hosting or attending international parties.

Learning a language is more than learning proper pronunciation and grammar. The environment contributes substantially to the learning experience; hence a party is a great place to get acquainted with a foreign language. The following is how you can learn a foreign language one international party at a time.
Learn A Few Phrases
You will have to talk to people at an international party, which can be an excellent opportunity to practice a foreign language you have been learning. For example, you can have a French-themed party and encourage people to introduce themselves in French. Simple words and phrases like thank you, sorry, and please could be posted on the walls to encourage their usage.
The good news is that there are multiple avenues for you to brush up on your French. The more phrases you can learn, the better it will be for the party. You can even make a fun game out of it, for example, a drinking game where you have to drink every time you do not use a French phrase.
Cook Foreign Food
Another excellent way to immerse yourself in a particular culture is to sample their food. Therefore, you can have an international party where you only make and serve food from a particular country. Cooking ethnic cuisine for a party is fantastic because you will have to learn the language to get the ingredients.
You can start learning and speaking a few words to help prepare the food. You will also have to learn the language for the recipes, which will require some understanding of the ingredients and the processes. A foreign party with ethnic cuisine and language is quite exotic and guaranteed to be a fun way to learn a foreign language.
Wear Foreign Clothes
When learning a foreign language, another fantastic way to dive deep into that particular culture is to wear their clothing. Most Western cultures have the same dress code, but you can still find traditional attire to wear to the party. Distant cultures, such as Indian or Chinese, have different clothing, making it easier to wear foreign clothing to a party.
You can have a party where you ask people to wear traditional clothes from a particular culture which will encourage the use of the language while buying the clothes and at the party. You will at least have to know the name of the attire for attending the party. Foreign clothing is also an excellent conversation starter for such a party.
Music
Music is the soul of every party, so if you want to get better at a foreign language, you should listen to music from that culture or country. Learning a foreign language is great for your mental health, but when combined with music, it is even better.
Use a tool to help you select Greek, Persian, or Arabic music that you and your guests can dance to during the party. Singing along to the lyrics or simply dancing to it while you mouth the words could be very helpful in learning the language and a fun way to do so.
Learning a foreign language is a great idea. It is an even better idea to learn the language one party at a time. The above tips should help you find ways to learn a foreign language during parties. Feel free to find more ways that you can have just as much fun learning a language, especially during parties.
