Summer is the time to get outside and enjoy some much-needed time off from school for most families. Everyone wants to take advantage of this season and do things that they do not get to do the rest of the year.
This summer fun, however, can lead into risks that people do not face during other seasons. Some of these risks can put a family’s health in danger if they are not prepared for. This means that in the case of an emergency, everyone will need some reference to make sure they have all the information they need to get the care they require. Sunscreen
Sunburns are among the most common injuries that people face in the summertime. It may not seem like a big deal to get a sunburn, but every burn or tan could mean irreversible damage to a person’s skin. It is best to always apply sunscreen every day, even if not a lot of sun exposure is expected to happen.

Baking soda
Baking soda it usually an item only found in the kitchen, but it can have a lot of use in the bathroom as well. Most commonly, people will use baking soda in the summertime to fight foot odors. Running through the trees, riding bikes, or playing on the beach all sound like great family activities to do in the summer. As was mentioned before, outdoor fun does come with some risks. Along with cuts and scrapes, some people may find themselves with a splinter from a tree or a tick lodged in their hair. The best way to eliminate problems like this is to gently use a tweezers. Parents can help their kids dislodge these unwanted items and head back outside to soak up every little bit of summer fun that they can.
