Love it? Pls Share it!

Did you know that today, January 23, is National Pie Day? In honor of this, here are some interesting pie facts, along with a review of one of my favorite brands of pie, Edwards Frozen Desserts!

DID YOU KNOW: (facts according to the American Pie Council)

There are 231 varieties of apple pie?

Apple pie is the favorite of 36 million Americans?

Pumpkin pie was first introduced on the Pilgrim’s second Thanksgiving in 1623?

Pecan pie is the third most popular choice in America?

Pie is not just dessert, in America it is a tradition. One of the strongest traditions is the making of pies, and often you will find recipes that have been passed down passed down from generation to generation. However, there are a few of us, (yes, I am talking about myself), that must admit we have never learned how to make a pie. And then there are those occasions when you need a dessert, but you just don’t have the time to make a pie.

That’s when pre-made pies come in handy, and one of the best-tasting I have tried so far are made by Edwards Frozen Desserts. In fact, Edwards recently sent me several free product coupons so that I could share my opinion with you!

For over 50 years, Edwards Frozen Desserts has been baking great-tasting premium pies that are made with only the best, high-quality ingredients. They offer a large variety of delectable flavors ranging from the classics like Lemon Meringue, Key Lime and Boston Cream, to specialty pies such as Reese’s®Crème Pie, Hershey®’s Special Dark® Crème Pie and Cookies and Crème Pie.

They also make a wonderful Georgia Pecan Pie and an incredible Salted Caramel Pie. All of these flavors and more are available as either whole Premium Pies or as the convenient Dessert Singles where you get two slices per pack.

Not only are their pies delicious, but they are incredibly convenient. Once you are ready to prepare the pie, all you have to do is remove it from the freezer and place it into the refrigerator, allowing two to three hours for it to thaw. Once thawed, just slice and serve. That’s it! No baking required, the whole process is as easy as, well, pie!

Each pie is rich, thick and creamy, and they do not skimp on any of the ingredients such as the pecans and chocolate on this Turtle Pie. In fact, they even prepare, bake and crush their own cookies on site to make the most delicious and freshest cookie crust possible.

LOL! Oh no!! At least you can eat a pie anytime you'd like, and not just once a year - that'd be horrible!!
