With school back in, there is no better time to help supplement your child’s education, and what better way than an online site that actually makes learning fun? When I was given the opportunity to check out the site PowerMyLearning, I knew I had found an invaluable learning resource!

As a teacher, if there is one thing I have learned, it is that a child will be more interested in learning when the content is presented in an interesting way.

Also, since there are several different learning styles, visual, audio and kinesthetic (hands on), content needs to be taught in a way that all three learning styles are engaged. PowerMyLearning does all of this, and more!

PowerMyLearning is a free online, non-profit educational platform designed for students grades K-12, parents, and educators. The site takes thousands of the best online learning activities and combines them into one easy-to-use, organized, trusted place.

You can find tons of educational games and activities in every subject for every age at every learning level. Math, Science, Language Arts, History, Technology, Foreign Languages, and many other subjects are covered, making PowerMyLearning a powerful online tool for education.

But more is being learned than just school subjects. As everyone knows, working on computers takes concentration and hand-eye coordination, not to mention the skills practiced such as typing and computer operation. Time is spent engaged in meaningful activities instead of watching television or playing on the Playstation.

Our 10-year-old, has spent hours doing what he considers playing, and what I know is learning! His favorite “game” is one that teaches both math and physics as he accepts the challenge of building rollercoasters that work from beginning to end.

PowerMyLearning

PowerMyLearning is an excellent resource for parents, educators and students alike. Parents can discover interesting and fun games that reinforce their child’s classroom learning and even open up a whole new area of interest.

Moms and Dads who home school their children can set up interactive lessons instead of worksheets. Teachers have access to many tools for helping individual students and enhancing their lessons in the classroom. Students can have fun reinforcing learned lessons, working on new skills and exploring a world of information.

The site itself is fast and easy to search using several methods such as by keyword or by subject. You can even search for activities to help your child meet their school’s Common Core Standards.

Signing up for PowerMyLearning is easy and takes just a few moments. Simply visit https://powermylearning.org/.

Once your account is created, you will have full access to all the amazing resources the site provides. Have your child create their account and relax knowing they will be working on games and activities screened and selected by a team of educators that will help supplement their education and reinforce the lessons they are learning.  You can even attach your account with your child’s so you can see exactly which activities they are working on.

As a mom with a teaching degree, I highly recommend PowerMyLearning!
