Here are several summer car care tips that will help ensure your car is ready to hit the highway!
Check the Car’s Cooling System
Your car’s cooling system is critical to warm weather driving. It’s what keeps your engine cool. It also works to protect your engine against corrosion, provide more efficient fuel combustion, and maintain proper oil viscosity. While a normal temperature is around 200 degrees Fahrenheit, in hot weather, your coolant can get as high as 250 degrees! This could lead to your car overheating and you being stranded on the side of the road.

Thanks for the information! My car has been experiencing some cooling problems now that the weather is a lot hotter. It seems as though my car might be having some radiator problems according to this information. I haven't taken a look at how much debris might have accumulated in the fins of my radiator, so I should check on that to make sure that it's getting proper air flow around it.
