Looking to add a fun and festive twist to your 4th of July celebrations? These red and blue Jell-O Ice Cubes are perfect for your patriotic party! Not only do they look amazing, but they also add a burst of flavor to your drinks.

These tasty Jell-O ice cubes don’t melt; instead, as they thaw, they turn into an icy-cool and refreshing treat to nibble on when your drink is gone. They kind of remind me of a fruity slushy! Best of all, they’re easy to make and are sure to impress your guests, making your Independence Day celebration even more special.

If you can find ‘white/clear’ Jell-O, you can make these ice cubes in red, white, and blue for an even more patriotic touch. Unfortunately, as a last-minute recipe, I couldn’t find any clear/white Jell-O. But no worries—you can always add real ice cubes to the Sprite as they look white once in the liquid or do what I did and have the soda be the ‘white’.

How Many Jell-O Ice Cubes Does This Recipe Make?

Each box of Jell-O makes enough for 24 to 36 individual Jell-O ice cubes. So with both colors, this recipe makes about 48 – 72 Jell-O ice cubes total. Since I did not need that many, I simply poured the remaining Jell-O in a dish and made layered Jell-O.

Pro Tip

I highly recommend you use flexible silicone ice cube trays or molds as they make it much easier to pop the frozen Jell-O ice cubes out. You just push the mold nearly inside out, and the cubes come right out. I bought my ice cube trays on Amazon, but I’ve seen them in the dollar store, Big Lots, Dollar General, Walmart, Target, and other large retailers.
