Easy Ways to Put Your Fingerprint on Your Space

Love it? Pls Share it!

Are you feeling a little disconnected from your living space? Maybe you look around and see nothing that really represents you. The kids have things all over the house. Their artwork has even taken over the fridge and some of the picture frames in the house. Maybe you copied the look of your home from a magazine, but never really connected with it when you were done. Don’t go through another day feeling like a stranger in your own home. You simply need to add a few personal touches that represent you. This list will help.

Stencil a Quote
Perhaps you just need a few inspiring quotes strategically placed throughout the home. Start with the mirrors. Then, add a quote to the wall by the door you leave out of or on the lid of the washing machine that no one else seems to be able to operate. You can even stencil single inspiring words inside your kitchen cabinets or places where only you will see them.

Ethanol Fireplaces
Since ethanol fireplaces come in a wide range of sizes, styles, and colors, you can find one to add to any room. No one expects to see one in the kitchen, but if you are in there all the time preparing meals and packing lunches this is the perfect place for one. Maybe you want to add a small tabletop variety to your bathroom. Since the only time you truly get any alone time is when you are lucky enough to soak in a bath, you might as well make the most of it.

Decorate with Photos
Your smartphone or tablet is probably filled with photos. Why not put a few to good use? Have some printed and framed or create a photo collage. They don’t all have to be photos of the kids either. That picture you snapped of the moon when you had to let the dog out in the middle of the night or the one of your favorite cardinal that visits the bird feeder at the same time every day will add a true personal touch to the space because it was captured in a moment only you experienced.

Make Something
You don’t have to be a great artist to make great art. After all, you have probably looked at art pieces before, and thought that your 4-year-old could make the same thing. Treat yourself to a new canvas and paint, buy a Cricut and start paper crafting or sculpt something with clay. You can make sun catchers or paint decorative stones to put in the plant pots. It doesn’t always have to be extravagant to have an impact.
