Already Baked, Non-Frozen Dinners and Sides – Main St. Bistro
After a long day of work, the last thing many of us want to do is come home and start cooking dinner. Often I will look for whatever time-saving options I can find, and one of these is Reser’s Fine Foods Baked Sides. If you remember my last review of Reser’s Fine Foods, then you already know how much I like these delicious side dishes. This time around I was sent some more flavors to try, and they were just as delectable as the first ones!
Reser’s Fine Foods makes a line of delicious dinners and hearty side dishes called Main St. Bistro that are already fully baked. These are not frozen dinners and sides, but instead are kept in the refrigerator. All you have to do is heat them up in the microwave or oven, serve alongside your other foods, and dinner is ready in minutes.
This time I was sent three Main St. Bistro sides: Baked Scalloped Potatoes, Zesty Au Gratin Potatoes and Baked Hash Brown Casserole. All three were quick and easy to cook. If you use the microwave, each dish takes anywhere from 3 to 7 minutes tops. If you choose the oven, each will take anywhere from 20 to 25 minutes. Regardless of the method you choose, these dinners were simply delicious!
My personal favorite, the Scalloped Potatoes was made up of layers of thinly sliced, soft potatoes soaked in a creamy sauce that had a hint of sour cream and topped with a golden brown layer of Cheddar cheese.
The Zesty Au Gratin Potatoes are my second favorite with tender slices of potatoes in a creamy sauce topped with a golden layer of Cheddar cheese with bacon and tiny slices of jalapeno peppers mixed in.
The Baked Hash Brown Casserole was my husbands favorite, and has tons of finely grated tender potatoes mixed with lots if cheese and topped with Cheddar cheese.
