Thanksgiving and Christmas, two of the happiest holidays when family and friends alike gather together to laugh and eat, have fun and eat, share stories and eat, swap gifts and eat, and laugh and eat some more. Just thinking about all that food makes me feel full! After the holidays is when the dieting and the exercising begin in earnest, and that is where fitness fashion form Ellie comes in.

Known for their top-of-the line fitness clothes, Ellie has a great selection of stylish and comfortable tops, bottoms and complete outfits perfect for whatever type of fitness you choose. I recently had the opportunity to choose an entire workout ensemble, and with so many colorful choices and unique styles it was hard to just pick one! I finally chose the Emerald Envy Tank with the Silver Lining Leggings, which together make a pretty and colorful outfit that is cool and comfortable to wear.

Fitness Fashion from Ellie – Tops

The Emerald Envy Tank is a beautiful jewel tone tank with grey trim that is made of a moisture wicking, pre-shrunk fabric called Eclon. This unique fabric not only removes moisture from the skin, but it also blocks and absorbs UV rays to protect the skin.

The tank features grey trim along the sides as well as grey panels running lengthwise down your waist that serve to give the visual appearance of a slimmer figure. The back of the tank is racerback style with a keyhole cutout, and a strip of black lace to accentuate the design. The tank also has a shelf bra with removable cups for added support and comfort, and is machine washable.

The Silver Lining Leggings match the tank perfectly. The are full length in that they reach to your ankles, and are solid black with alternating grey and emerald panels on both the front and back of the legs to give the illusion of slimmer, more shapely legs.

The waistband is large enough to be worn up or folded down, and even has a hidden pocket that is perfect for holding your key or debit card. The leggings are made of Eclon fabric as the tank, and when you start sweating the material pulls the moisture away from your body to where it can quickly evaporate leaving your skin dry and cool. The fabric also provides UV protection and is machine washable.

Together, the tank and leggings make a stylish and comfortable outfit for running, cycling, yoga or other outdoor activities. I usually wear it when I am practicing yoga. I love that the fabric fits to my form so as not to get in my way, but my favorite is how it wicks the moisture off my skin where it can quickly evaporate. To me, there is nothing more uncomfortable than wet workout clothes. And while they look like they would be hot after working out for several minutes, the tank and leggings actually keep me cool and comfortable as I work out.

Both pieces are very well made, and have retained their elasticity and bright color throughout several washings. They are definitely my favorite workout clothes!
