Ingredients You Will Need to Make Flower Oreo Pops

Only three simple ingredients are needed for these sweet spring treats! Here’s what you’ll need to get started on your flower Oreo pops:

Step-by-Step Instructions

These Easter cookie pops come together in a few easy steps. Be sure to separate your M&Ms ahead of time so you’re ready to go once the chocolate is melted!

Step One: Separate the M&Ms

  • Begin by sorting the spring M&Ms by color.
  • You’ll need one green and six of another color (like pink, yellow, or purple) per cookie.

Step Two: Melt the Chocolate

  • Next, melt the white chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler, following the instructions on the package.
  • Stir until smooth and creamy.

Step Three: Insert the Straws

  • Now cut the green paper straws in half.
  • Next, flatten one end slightly, and dip the flattened end in the melted chocolate.
  • Then gently press the straw into the cream center of each Oreo.
  • Let it set until the chocolate is firm.

Step Four: Dip the Cookies

  • Once the straw is secure, dip the entire Oreo into the white chocolate using a dipping spoon or fork to support it.
  • Let the excess chocolate drip off, then place the pop on parchment paper.

Step Five: Decorate!

  • While the chocolate is still soft, press one green M&M into the center of the cookie.
  • Then surround it with six same-colored M&Ms to form the flower petals.
  • Repeat with different color combos for a variety of sweet spring flowers.

Step Six: Let Them Set

  • Be sure to let the cookies cool completely so the chocolate hardens before serving or packaging.

Recipe Tips and Tricks

  • Work in batches: Dip and decorate just a few cookies at a time so the chocolate doesn’t harden before you place the M&Ms
  • Use tweezers: For little hands (or big ones), tweezers can help with M&M placement
  • Switch it up: Use different color combinations for a bouquet of cookie flowers
  • Make ahead: These can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container

Recipe Variations, Additions, and Substitutions

  1. Use flavored Oreos: Try lemon or vanilla Oreos for a fun flavor twist
  2. Change the chocolate: Use pastel-colored melting chocolate for an extra pop
  3. No straws? Use lollipop sticks or even wooden skewers instead

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

Can I use regular Oreos instead of Double Stuf?

Double Stuf makes it easier to insert the straw without breaking the cookie, but regular Oreos can work too—just be gentle!

How do I store these Easter Flower Pops?

Keep them in a single layer in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Can I freeze Flower Oreo Pops?

It’s not recommended since the chocolate may discolor, but they’re so quick to make, you can whip up a fresh batch in no time!
