Simple Solutions for Supper: Slow Cooker Country Ribs
When I was 15 years old I had to have my gall bladder removed. Ever since then, I’ve suffered from heartburn and indigestion. At first it was just every now and then, but as I’ve gotten older, it has become more and more frequent. Unfortunately almost of my favorite foods and drinks will trigger it, but since I am not willing to give those up, I’ve had to look for another solution. As it turns out I found a solution that allows me to enjoy my favorite foods without the discomfort, a very simple solution!
That simple solution is Nexium 24HR. Just one little purple pill in the morning and I have protection from frequent heartburn and indigestion all-day and all-night long. Now I can enjoy dairy, garlic, spicy foods and acidic foods without dreading that awful burning and discomfort that I know will come about an hour after I eat. Don’t you just love a simple solution?!
Speaking of simple solutions, being a stepmom to an active 12-year-old, a wife and a full-time blogger sometimes leaves very little time for cooking gourmet-tasting meals every single day. That’s why I love my slow-cooker. Just toss the ingredients in, turn it on, and leave it until it’s ready. One of my family’s favorite slow cooker meals, and one I used to notbe able to enjoy due to frequent heartburn, is my Slow Cooker Country Ribs.
Not only is this recipe simple to put together and cook, it only calls for two ingredients! The meat literally falls right off the bone, and the taste is heavenly! It’s one of those meals that taste as though you spent hours putting it together, when in reality it takes less than 5 minutes to put together and start it cooking on its own! Slow Cooker Country Ribs
Ingredients to make Slow Cooker Country Ribs
- 1-2 packages of country-style pork ribs
- 1(18 ounce) bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce
- salt and pepper to taste (if you prefer)
Directions for Making Slow Cooker Country Ribs
Place the ribs into the crock pot.
Now pour the entire bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce over the ribs. I like to add a small amount of water to the bottle in order to get all of the sauce off the inside, and then pour it over the ribs as well.
Set your crockpot to cook on low for 5 to 7 hours, and walk away.
Once finished, the ribs will be so moist and tender, the meat will literally start to fall off the bones! Serve and enjoy!
Simple as can be!
