Christmas is just a few days away, and after you open your new smart phones, tablets, laptops, and other electronics, what will you do with your old devices? Instead of adding your old phone to the collection in your drawer, why not send it in and try to get some money for it?

eCycle Best is a used electronics trade-in services that is based right here in the United States in Nevada. You can sell them your old electronics for cash whether it’s an Apple, Samsung, BlackBerry, Sony or other brand, and regardless of condition.

Selling your used or broken electronics is a simple four step process. First you select the device you are wanting to sell, then find the brand and model. Next you will indicate the condition your device is in, and then you will be asked to create an eCycle Best account which will be used to receive updates and stay in touch during the process. The final step involves filling in your information for the shipping form such as your name, address, email and phone number, which will be emailed for you to print.

eCycle Best will also send you a box for shipping if you need one! Of course, since you have to wait for the box to arrive, this will make the entire process take just a tiny bit longer, but if you don’t happen to have one handy, this could be a huge help! If you do request a shipping kit, it will arrive at your home within 3 to 5 days, and since it comes with a prepaid shipping label, all you have to do is pack your device and drop the package at your local post office! The entire shipping kit is free, and you can easily monitor the status of your package using the tracking number provided with the label.

You will receive an initial online quote based on how you describe the device’s condition, but your final quote is determined after the actual item is received and thoroughly inspected by a qualified technician. Be sure to send in the adapter and charger that came with the device as their price is also based upon the receipt of those three items and it can help get you the best price. Once your device has been inspected, they will contact you to discuss the final price and find out how you prefer to be paid. If you choose PayPal, you can be paid within one business day. The other option is to be paid via company check which will be mailed to the address you provided.

When it comes to what happens to your old devices, eCycle Best employs the strictest green methods when it comes to recycling electronics. Instead of exporting the used electronics to places like Africa, Brazil and Asia – where they often wind up in landfills further contributing to the global e-waste crisis that is impacting many developing countries- all devices that eCycle Best recycles are salvaged and sold right here in the American market in the form of quality refurbished products and genuine repair and replacement parts, guaranteed. No product or by-product they process crosses the border in the form of used electronics exports.

Your entire eCycle Best transaction from start to finish is safe and secure. Not only do they completely erase all information from your device using only Linux-based software, their website is also TRUSTe and VeriSign certified, so all of your information is kept safe and secure.

This is an absolute scam website. I'm ashamed another Alabamian even wrote this article, while they are clearly scammers.

Hi Cory! I am sorry to hear you and others had such a bad experience. It's a shame that this has turned out the way it apparently has in the 2.5 years since I wrote this post! As I mentioned in my disclaimer, this is an informative post only, and I have not tried the service myself. Thank you for letting people know about your experience.

DO NOT SELL TO E CYCLE BEST!!!!! After quoting me at $120, they offered me $20 for my 16GB Iphone 4S. That's absolutely ridiculous. They told me all these things on it didn't work, but when I sent it in, it worked fine. I also just got off the phone with the representative and they were extremely rude and hung up on me after I told them to send me my phone back. They need to be reported to BBB.

I recently sold my 3rd gen Ipad to ecyclebest. DO NOT SELL TO THEM, it is a complete scam. I was quoted $309 which exceeded gazelle so I decided to give it a shot. I send my ipad in and after a month I hadn't heard a peep, so I emailed them (their preferred contact method). Two more weeks passed with no reply so I emailed them again to check the status. Two more weeks pass and I get an email saying my check is in the mail. When the check arrived it was for only $70 with no explanation whatsoever. My ipad was in perfect condition. I have emailed ecyclebest and called them on multiple occasions and I have not once received any kind of response or acknowledgement. The phone calls go directly to an automated system that only takes messages and the emails just seem to disappear into the ether. At this point I'm not sure what i can do other than cash the $70 check and move on. I'm certain I could have sold the device for over $300 on my own. For only $70 I would have happily found another use for it.
