2019 Volvo XC60 – 4 Awesome Features

Love it? Pls Share it!

With its alluring design and sophisticated features, the Volvo XC60 has been a top seller for Volvo. In fact, it was the automaker’s No. 1 selling vehicle in 2018. For 2019, the Volvo XC60 underwent a complete makeover with all new looks and great features while still maintaining that sleek, luxurious Swiss style!

In 2018, the Volvo XC60 received a complete makeover with all new bones and a new look. Some features new to the 2019 models include:

  • the improved base infotainment system,
  • more room for passengers and cargo,
  • an improved suspension system,
  • new front-wheel-drive base model,
  • heated front seats in the AWD models, and
  • more standard features added to uplevel trims

Here are 4 of our favorite features that are now available on the 2019 Volvo SC60.

Top Class Standard Features

Over the years features that come standard on most cars are slowly improving and increasing in number. And the 2019 Volvo XC60 is no exception. In fact, the XC60 offers some pretty incredible standard features on all trim levels. And one of my favorites is the panoramic moonroof.

Other XC60 standard features include dual-zone auto climate control, Volvo’s signature Thor’s Hammer lights, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

All trim levels of the XC60 also come equipped with a fabulous array of driver-assist features as standard equipment including automatic emergency braking, hill start assist, descent control, lane keeping assist, rear collision warning, and even a driver drowsiness monitor that will issue a warning if it detects that you are driving while distracted or fatigued.

Exceptional Efficiency

Volvo’s XC60 comes with some exceptional fuel efficiency. With an estimated 31 miles per gallon on highway driving, the XC60 can keep you on the road longer than many other compact crossovers.

Active Bending Lights

Another great feature is the Active Bending Headlights. This means the headlights turn in a side-to-side motion as you manipulate the steering wheel. With these active bending headlights, the XC60 gives drivers a clear view of the road at night and allow for maximum visibility all of the time.

For a compact crossover, the 2019 Volvo XC60 is quite spacious with enough room for five plus generous cargo space. People in the front have a fair amount of legroom and seat width, while backseat passengers are sitting comfortable, too. In fact, three average-size adults can sit in the back quite comfortably.

As for cargo space, the XC60 provides a generous amount of room. With the rear seats up, you have 29.7 cubic feet of volume. And with the rear seats folded down, the crossover actually has one of the largest cargo holds in its class with 63.3 cubic feet.

For longer items, there’s both a ski pass-through and 60/40-split folding seatbacks. Plus, there is also an innovative cargo cover that can either slide up or retract completely.

Volvo’s infotainment system—Sensus Connect—comes with a 9.0-inch touchscreen that is standard on the XC60. The system controls pretty much everything including audio, climate, and vehicle settings, and is easy to navigate. both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard on all trim levels, as well as Bluetooth connectivity and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot powered by a 4G LTE data connection.

Navigation with real-time traffic and weather updates is also available on the base trim and comes standard on all other models.

In Conclusion

According to U.S. News & World Report, the Volvo XC60 comes in at #7 in Luxury Compact SUVs, and it’s not hard to see why! With its stylish design, outstanding safety record and features like those mentioned above, it would come as no surprise to have the Volvo XC60 once again be a top seller this year!

If the 2019 Volvo XC60 has grabbed your attention and won’t let go, then head to your local dealership where you can find all the latest Volvo vehicles.
