DIY NAPKIN RINGS FOR EASTER INSTRUCTIONS

Making these fun DIY napkin rings for Easter couldn’t be easier. If you have about 15 minutes and even just a smidgen of craftiness, these DIY Easter napkin holders are perfect for you!

STEP ONE: CUT EQUAL-LENGTH STRANDS

First, you will need to cut off 4 equal-length strands of the pearl seed garland. I made mine about 12 inches and was able to cut them off with a pair of scissors although I suspect a pair of wire cutters would work even better.

Make sure you cut about halfway between a pair of seed pearls.

STEP TWO: WRAP

Next, working with one wreath at a time, wrap a length of seed garland around the wreath form, spacing out the seeds as much as you prefer. Be sure to leave some extra length at the start as you will need to use it to tie off the strand when you are finished wrapping it.

add extra length of wire to twist together

STEP THREE: TWIST ENDS

Once you get back to where you started, take the two ends and twist them together, then tuck it into the wreath form. You can also use hot glue to hold it in place if you need.

And that’s it, you are done! Aren’t they adorable?!

Now all that’s left to do is insert your napkins and add them to your holiday table.

CAN YOU USE NAPKIN HOLDERS WITH PAPER NAPKINS?

Yes, you can use napkin rings with cloth napkins and paper napkins. To make it look a bit fancier, simply roll up the paper napkin, and then thread it through the napkin ring.

WHERE DOES THE NAPKIN GO ON THE TABLE SETTING?

Where the napkin and napkin holder go depends on your place setting. I personally like to place the napkin with napkin ring directly on the plate in front of the dinner guest.

If I have soup bowls on the table, I put the napkin ring just to the left of the forks instead. You can also place them at the top of the plate.

Materials

  • 1 - Pastel Mini Pearl Seed Garland – from Hobby Lobby

Tools

  • Craft wire cutters or scissors

Instructions

    1. Cut off 4 equal-length strands of the pearl seed garland. I made mine about 12-inches. Make sure you cut halfway between two of the seed pearls.
    2. Working with one wreath form at a time, wrap a length of seed garland around the wreath form, spacing out the seeds however you'd like. Make sure to leave some extra length (about 1/2-inch) at the start and at the end to use to tie off the strand once you're finished wrapping it.
    3. Once you get back to where you started, take the two ends of excess strand and twist them together, then tuck it into the wreath form. You could also use hot glue to hold it in place if needed.
    4. Repeat for the rest of the wreath forms.
