For years Jimmy Dean has been a household name when it comes to breakfast. Well now they are moving beyond breakfast to bring you a new line of frozen lunch and dinner offerings, available in 16 delicious varieties! And for those of us trying to watch what we eat, 8 of these are part of the popular Jimmy Dean Delights line, including 4 delicious sandwiches and 4 delectable entrée bowls – all of which are 300 calories or less!
Jimmy Dean sent some of their new lunch and dinner offerings for my family to try, and we were not disappointed! The first products we tried were the entrée bowls. After these, I’ll tell you all about the sandwiches, too!
Jimmy Dean Entrée Bowls
As I am sure all of you can relate, there are days when I just do not have the time to cook dinner. Maybe my day was filled up with appointments, or my stepson’s activities lasted longer than expected. Or maybe I am not feeling my best. Whatever the reason, sometimes I need a quick meal fix. These new Jimmy Dean entrée bowls not only take just minutes to make, but they are packed with flavor just like a scrumptious slow cooked meal! With authentic flavors such as grilled steak, roasted chicken and smoked bacon mac & cheese, everyone in the family is sure to find a flavor they like. Here’s a list of all the Jimmy Dean bowls, including 4 Jimmy Dean Delights bowls (300 calories or less) for those of us watching our waistline:
- Grilled Steak Bowl – a tasty blend of steak, potatoes, peppers and onions.
- Pulled Pork Bowl – pulled pork covered in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce together with golden potatoes.
- Golden Roasted Chicken Bowl – tender roasted chicken mixed with carrots, celery and potatoes in rich herb sauce.
- Smoked Bacon Mac Bowl – smoked bacon, mac and cheese in a creamy 3 cheese sauce.
- Delights Golden Roasted Turkey Bowl – roasted turkey, potatoes, celery and carrots in creamy herb sauce (210 cal.).
- Delights Three Cheese Pasta – tender pasta covered in a Mozzarella, Parmesan and Cheddar Cheese sauce. (300 cal.).
- Delights Hickory Smoked Ham Bowl – hickory smoked ham, potatoes and peas in a tasty herb sauce (250 cal.).
- Delights Southwest Style Grilled Chicken Bowl – Southwest Style grilled chicken, rice, peppers, onion roasted corn and black beans in a Tex-Mex sauce (250 cal.).
The first one I tried was the Jimmy Dean Delights Golden Roasted Turkey bowl, while my husband had the Grilled Steak bowl. Each meal took only four minutes to fix, and both were delicious! At only 210 calories, the Golden Roasted Turkey bowl was filled with tender, juicy pieces of turkey mixed with potatoes, carrots and celery, all covered in a rich and creamy herb sauce. The Grilled Steak Bowl was a tasty mix of flavorful, tender grilled steak, potatoes, peppers and onions in a rich beef gravy.
I cannot wait to give the other bowls a try! And although these bowls make a delicious dinner, they also make a warm and filling lunch! You can check out all the other yummy Jimmy Dean products on their website at JimmyDean.com. These wonderful new meals will be available beginning in July and August in the frozen aisle at stores across the country. Be sure to check back tomorrow for a glimpse of their tasty new sandwiches!

I'm loving the pulled pork and pulled chicken varieties. I'll bet you can snag these for a pretty awesome price if you just stack a few coupons. I'll have to keep my eyes open for this one. Thanks for sharing!
