Vapur Anti-Bottle: Reusable,Collapsible and Cool!

In a world where each year 38 billion water bottles go into landfills and only 23% of water bottles used are recycled, don’t you think it is time stop using disposable water bottles? Instead of wasting your money on bottled water, do what is right and find yourself a good, reusable water bottle. As many of you are aware, my family is doing what we can to live a more healthy and eco-friendly lifestyle.

One of the ways we have done this is by no longer purchasing bottled water but instead using water filters and re-usable drinking containers.  Often those containers are bulky and heavy and a pain to store as well as to carry around. So when I was offered the opportunity to try a Vapur Anti-Bottle, I jumped at the chance!

The Vapur Anti-Bottle is an incredibly innovative reusable drinking bottle that when empty can be folded, flattened or even rolled up into a small, easy-to-carry drink container that fits perfectly in your purse, pocket or bag, and can even be hooked to your belt loop with the nifty carabiner clip that comes with it. It is so much lighter and easier to carry around than other water bottles, and is eco-friendly in every way from its manufacturing to its reusability.

Despite it’s thinness and flexibility, the Vapur Anti-Bottle is far from being flimsy!  It’s durable 3-ply construction has an innermost layer made of an FDA-approved, BPA-free polyethylene which is also odor, taste and stain-resistant.  That inner layer is bonded to two outer layers that are made of nylon which adds strength and durability.  So the likelihood of your Vapur Anti-Bottle getting punctured or torn is pretty slim.  And did I mention that it is dishwasher safe?

Vapur Anti-Bottles are made to last, and are so durable that they can hold liquids that are boiling hot or frozen solid. If you want some ice-cold water that will stay cold the entire day just fill your Vapur half way full with water, stick it in the freezer over night and in the morning fill it up the rest of the way with cold water. You could also use it frozen as an ice pack or even a back-up teether for a baby!

To fill it up you simply unscrew the cap which has a water-tight seal to protect against leaks, pour in your drink, then screw the cap back on. Once full the Vapur Anti-Bottle expands to where it can stand upright on its own.  When you are ready for a drink just flip-up the handy spout, which is also tight enough to be completely leak proof, and take a sip.  With that odor, taste and stain-resistant inner lining you don’t have to be concerned with any musty taste or smell that is often experienced with other types of drink containers.

My only concern with the Vapur bottle is that when it is empty it flattens out, and if you do not clean it thoroughly and make sure the inside of it is completely dry before putting it away, it could turn into a prime breeding ground for bacteria.  If you choose to wash it in the dishwasher, just make sure you first remove the cap and the carabiner, then blow a little air inside it to open it up fully and place the spout over the prongs on the top rack of your dishwasher so it remains open.

I personally prefer to rinse it out once more with hot water after the cycle just to be sure there is no soap left inside, and then making sure it is fully expanded I let it dry in the dish rack.  Follow these simple guidelines, and you will be fine!
