2013 Holiday Gift Guide Suggestion
Did you know that Santa has a son? I didn’t either until I had the opportunity to review the fun-filled Baby Santa book series. In this delightful series written by M. Maitland DeLand, children of all ages will enjoy the antics and adventures of Santa’s son as the holidays draw near.
The Baby Santa series includes 4 titles – Baby Santa, Baby Santa’s Worldwide Christmas Adventure, Baby Santa and the Lost Letters and, the newest addition this season, Baby Santa and the Missing Reindeer. Readers can join Santa’s son as he saves Christmas for Santa when things don’t go right in the North Pole, and follow along as his clever ideas takes kids on a journey all around the world to see what Christmas is like in different countries. These fun-loving, light hearted stories are meant to empower children and let them know that they can be a hero, even to Santa!
Baby Santa
In the first book (aff. link) of the series, Baby Santa, we are introduced to Santa’s son and taken along as he saves Christmas! All of the gifts are wrapped, but then Santa and his elves realize they made a huge mistake: they have left all of the name tags off the presents! How will they know who gets what? Santa’s son, who helped wrap the gifts, saves the day by remembering where each and every present goes, and now he wants to join his Father in the magic sleigh. Together, Father and son fly off into the Christmas Eve sky to begin their adventure, and Baby Santa proves that even the smallest member of a family can help each other out.
Baby Santa’s Worldwide Christmas Adventure
The presents are packed and Santa is ready to go, but how will he deliver the presents when he realizes the sleigh is broken? In book two (aff. link), Baby Santa’s Worldwide Christmas Adventure, Baby Santa comes to the rescue by hatching a plan to save Christmas and have a traveling adventure all at the same time. Readers can follow Santa and his son as the use different means of transportation to travel the world and deliver the gifts on time, all the while learning that Fathers and Sons can accomplish great things when they work together.
Baby Santa and the Lost Letters
In the third book (aff. link) in the series, Baby Santa and the Lost Letters, there is only one week until Christmas, and the last delivery of children’s Christmas letters to Santa have not arrived! If Santa can’t find the missing letters, Christmas will be ruined for children across the world! Baby Santa sets out to solve the mystery with the help of animal characters around the world. With the help from penguins, kangaroos and even a three-toed sloth, everyone works together with friends on every continent to save the holidays, proving that Christmas is for every living being.
Baby Santa and the Missing Reindeer
In the fourth, and newest addition (aff. link) to the series, Baby Santa and the Missing Reindeer, it’s almost Christmas Day when Santa awakes to discover that his reindeer are missing! When it is discovered that the mischievous reindeer have left for a few days of fun before Christmas, Santa’s son and Rudolph take flight around the globe to gather the missing reindeer. As readers follow along on his journey, they discover how Christmas is celebrated in different countries around the world.
My Verdict
Each book in the series is a fun-filled adventure with lessons to be learned. Beautifully written, each book is also filled with bright and colorful illustrations. Children of all ages will love following along with Baby Santa as he embarks on different adventures, and each book is bound to become a holiday favorite.
