I was engaged by Cricket Wireless to visit a local store and write about my experience.
After four years of having the same phone, it’s way past time for a new one. My old smartphone no longer meets my needs, so for several months now, I’ve been looking for one that does. And since getting a new phone is a big investment, it’s something that I take seriously.
Having learned that certain of my local Cricket wireless stores are under new management, I decided to check out their phones and plans.

Huge Selection of Smartphones
Choosing the right phone can be overwhelming, but at the Cricket Wireless store, their team members are there to help make the process as easy and enjoyable as possible. When I go into the store, I’m greeted warmly, and the staff is always able to answer my questions, even if I’m not (yet) a Cricket customer.

Not only do they make me feel at home, but Cricket also offers a great variety of premium smartphones — all of which will keep you connected for less on Cricket’s reliable nationwide 4G LTE network.**** You can select one of four FREE 4G LTE smartphones!* Note that this requires service activation (in store up to $25), with a qualified plan (min. $30/mo.), port-in, and a new service line. The first month’s service charge and applicable sales tax are due at sale (see pricing details below).

They also have a wonderful selection of cases and accessories.

Cricket Wireless Plans
One of my biggest pet peeves with my current carrier — aside from being locked in a contract — is that I am practically paying more in monthly fees than I am for the cost of the service! When it comes to plans, Cricket has very simple, straightforward plan pricing starting at just $30 per month!** I also found out I can add my family too, for just $20/mo. per line with 5 lines (after group save discount applied).*** Best of all? There are no annual contracts, and monthly service fees are already included! It makes it easy to stay connected with all your friends and family!
Speaking of staying connected, Cricket’s nationwide network offers more 4G LTE coverage than T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Sprint, or Boost!****
I know now that Cricket’s goal is to make your mobile phone experience easy and bring simplicity to what can be quite a confusing process. They have superior customer service — available to help with all your needs — and it looks like I’ll be doing some serious thinking about making the switch to Cricket. So make sure to visit a Cricket store near you!

I have had the same phone for years. It has served me well and I really have no complaints with it. But I know that the life on these things is not very long, and I will probably be forced to get one in the near future.
That is exactly where I am at now myself!
This service is definitely something my family and I would be interested in. I'll have to show my husband your article and get his two cents about it. It would be interesting for our family to take a look at this! The plans are very interesting.
They really do offer some amazing plans, and i love how affordable they are!
I am in the process of looking for a new mobile phone carrier. My current one prices are just getting way out of control for the Amount of data that we have access to. I'll have to take a look at the map for cricket to see if it will be compatible for my family plan needs.
Oh my goodness, yes! We've tried cutting back in any way we can, and our bills just keep going up and up. That's why Cricket really caught my eye!
This looks awesome. I love when you can find a cell phone provider that doesnt cost a million dollars. Plus I like that they even have 4G devices as well, AND no contract. I totally think I need to check Cricket Wireless out for sure.
Definitely do! The more I learn about them the more I am ready to swap!
I've never tried Cricket and their services before! I think it's awesome that they're offering a lot of deals and features for their customers.
I totally agree! I was shocked at how good some of their deals were! And a great selection of devices, too!
What a great deal! I should show this to my husband and we have to check this out!
Glad to know you found a phone and wireless plan that suits your needs! My contract with my current service provider ends in December and I can't wait to switch to a different carrier.
I can't wait either! Too many crazy fees together with not-the-best service. It's definitely time for a change!
I was aware that Cricket wireless was a company and that they offered cell phones. And I remember that the deals on the phones were pretty good as well. I just assumed that like with other companies breaking into the market that their coverage was not going to be very good. I am surprised to hear that it is better than all of those other companies out there. That was definitely a surprise.
I was impressed to learn about that, too! All in all, I think it is a great service to try!
Cricket Wireless seems like a dream come true. I hear you on the overpriced plans, and coverage that isn't the best at times. They have so many phones to choose from and a variety of plans as well. I'm definitely going to be keeping them in mind x
They really do have a lot to offer!
I love how companies like cricket wireless are making cell phones more common, affordable and not luxury items. Their cell phone options look really good.
Me, too! And yes, they have lots of options from which to choose. I was actually quite impressed with their selection!
It just makes me happy that because of friendly competition about cellphone service providers, the winner is always the consumer! I think Cricket wireless offers good service for a reasonable price. I will check them out when it is the right time to get my daughter her own cellphone.
They'd be perfect for her first phone!
It's great to know that brands like Cricket are able to provide consumers great price points and phone options. I have never used them as a carrier but I've heard good things. Thanks for sharing the benefits of being on this carrier.

You're welcome!
I have been hearing about Cricket for some time now. It sounds like a great resource for those on a budget or for those who don't like traditional phone companies. I have been with my provider for more than 6 years, but if something was to go wrong with them I would definitely consider making the switch.
I totally understand that! I've been with my current one for many years as well. However, over the years the bill just keeps getting higher due to hidden fees and other costs. It's definitely time for a change for me.
I think my sister would be a great candidate for Cricket Wireless. $30 is something she definitely could afford and that great the have a widespread of 4G coverage. And not bad for an extra $10 you can add mobile hotspot!
I totally agree. They have some great plans, and I love that they are so affordable.
My son keeps asking about getting his first phone. I am definitely going to look into Cricket Wireless.
Cricket would be perfect for a first phone!
My husband and I had cricket wireless and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, we moved and didn't get service where we lived so we had to change providers.
Oh no! Have you checked back since? I know they've made a lot of changes!
I like that you can buy everything that you need at the store. My teen should look into this.
One stop shopping at it's best! 🙂 This is what we are getting my stepson for his first phone. Definitely look into it.
Sounds very affordable and accessible for people who may find affording phones difficult
Exactly! And it's wonderful not being stuck in a contract!
I just keep putting it off because I know it will take so much time to switch services, but I have 4 people on a bill that costs me $380 per month and I see that I can obviously do much better! And I need to upgrade my old galaxy 3.
Yes! That's how our plan with our current provider is, and a big reason we are changing as soon as our contract is up later this month. That family package Cricket offers is an amazing deal, and is going to save us a lot of money! You ought to look into it - it shouldn't take long to switch at all.
I'm going to look into this, thinking I might need a phone after my screen cracked also tired of having no service when we travel.
I run into that with my current provider and it's a pain.
