Plus its redesigned interface makes for much smoother sipping. 

I was sent a set of the new Contigo Autoseal West Loop with Easy Clean Lid travel mugs and my husband and I absolutely love them! There are so many great features about these travel mugs including the fact that they really do work to keep hot beverages hot and cold ones cold for hours! Last week my husband and I drove 12 hours to visit my mom in Florida. We each took a mug with us, and every time we got a drink on the way down, we poured it into the mugs including coffee, water and sodas. That drive gave us plenty of time to test the company’s claim that the mugs will keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for several hours – and they really worked! We also filled them with ice water and took them to the beach with us where the water stayed nice and cold despite the sun and the heat. Plus, I especially liked that regardless of the temperature of the drink inside, the outsides of the mugs always remained dry and sweat-free. 

While I love the concept behind the Autoseal button, at first I was worried that having to push a button every time I wanted to take a sip would get to be annoying, but it really doesn’t. The placement of the Autoseal button is where your fingers naturally grasp the cup, and it doesn’t take much strength at all to press it. Plus, I’m pretty sure that the automatically resealing capability also plays a small role in helping to keep your drink warm or cold longer.

Another feature I really like is that they will fit most single-serve coffee brewers keeping me from having to mess up an extra cup to make the coffee before pouring it into the mug. And did I mention that they also fit the majority of car cup holders? Plus, the unique design of the lids really does make cleaning a cinch. All you have to do is press down on a lever inside the lid, and it pivots open the Autoseal mechanism so you can thoroughly clean the entire lid. 

One pet peeve of mine when it comes to stainless steel travel mugs is that metallic smell they always seem to have no matter how often you wash them. Sometimes it even seems to leach that taste into your drink. The Contigo Autoseal West Loop with Easy Clean Lid travel mugs do not have that smell or taste after their initial cleaning. And speaking of cleaning, the lids are top-rack dishwasher safe, but any of the colored travel mugs are not, so you will need to wash them by hand.

Overall, I am completely happy with these innovative travel mugs, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a easy-to-clean, spill-and-leak proof travel mug that keeps your drink at the temperature you prefer
