Most of you are familiar with my favorite online source for discount office supplies, Shoplet.com, but did you know they sell more than just supplies for work and home offices? Along with school supplies, promotional items, stationery and more, they also carry Medline medical supplies. This month I had the opportunity to review some of those products from Medline, and here is what I had to say.

MedlineReviewShoplet

Medline makes a large selection of medical supplies for hospitals, nursing homes and personal use. Their items range from wheelchairs to body lotion. Their products are perfect for use in hospitals, doctor offices, nursing homes, daycare, personal care givers, those who take care of their elderly parents and more.

Medline ReadyFlush Flushable Personal Cleansing Cloths

The first item I received for review was a pack of ReadyFlush Biodegradable flushable wipes. Biodegradable and safe for sewer and septic systems, these large wipes have a pH balanced cleansing formula and are soft and gentle. Although they are scented, it is a very light, faint scent that does not have that medicinal smell many medical-grade wipes seem to have. Thanks to their large size, you will only need to use one which can really help to reduce costs. They also work great on children and fit perfectly in the diaper bag!

Medline Remedy with Phytoplex Nourishing Skin Cream

I also received a bottle of the Medline nourishing moisturizer which is hypoallergenic and non-sensitizing. This creamy, nourishing skin cream helps to relieve dry, cracked skin and provides hydration and nutrients while helping to restore the natural moisture barrier. It is perfect for sensitive skin, and does not contain any aloe, parabens, phthalates, sulfates or petroleum;  all of which can actually cause skin to dry out even more. It does have a very sweet-smelling scent that I found will last for quite a while. A little bit is all you need, and it is quickly absorbed without leaving a greasy or oily feeling. I use it on my hands and feet, and have noticed a huge difference in the softness of my skin.

Medline Remedy with Phytoplex Hydrating Cleansing Foam

The Medline cleansing foam is also perfect for sensitive skin, and is free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates and petroleum. This unique cleansing foam is used to clean the hands or body without having to rinse with water. Of course, you can also use it with water, but for situations like where a patient is bed ridden, this cleanser is the ideal solution. To use, simply apply to the needed area, then gently wipe off with a damp cloth. Following up with a moisturizer is suggested. This is the perfect solution for when you are out and about and need to clean your hands but have no access to water.

Medline Remedy with Phytoplex Hydraguard Skin Cream

The last item I tried was the Medline Remedy with Phytoplex Hydraguard hydrating moisturizer with a 23% silicone blend that leaves a water-resistant film on the skin. This moisturizer uses natural oils to hydrate the skin and also helps reduce redness of extremely dry, cracked and/or irritated skin. The most obvious use would be for patients wearing adult diapers, although I found it works great for excessively dry skin. A small amount is all it takes to completely cover the affected area. Due to the silicone blend, don’t expect this lotion to completely absorb into the skin. You can feel how it leaves a barrier, but at the same time your skin is incredibly soft. It works great on my hands, especially after washing the dishes, and also works wonders on the dry skin on my feet!

My Verdict

One thing that comes to mind when I was reviewing these products, was how I wish I had known about them when I was taking care of my dad before he passed. He needed the full-time care that only assisted living could provide, but I still would go stay with him and clean his face and hands, any cuts or scrapes from falls and more. Of course, similar type products were provided, but many were not as gentle or as effective as these. I definitely recommend them to anyone in a healthcare setting. And purchasing them through Shoplet.com is an affordable option, one that offers quick delivery to the office or home.

Although Shoplet.com is the number one place for discounted office supplies, don’t forget that they also carry many items you can personalize for your business such as office stationery,  promotional shirts as well as many other promotional items, and of course, medical supplies too! Simply go to https://www.shoplet.com/ and start saving!
