2014 Holiday Gift Guide

Yesterday I shared four great last minute gift ideas for those of you who still have a few more people on your list.  One of those gift ideas was the Give Bakery Because program, a great gift idea for those of you who like to give a gift that means a little something extra by making it yourself. 

The Give Bakery Because program encourages you to visit the bakery department at your local grocery store, find a variety of treats and then create a fun way to gift them to a special person in your life.  It’s simple, easy and affordable, and the best part is you don’t have to bake anything! 

While I have gotten the majority of my shopping out of the way, I have been wanting to give some simple, yet thoughtful gifts to my neighbors in my building for the holidays, and the Give Bakery Because program gave me the perfect idea! 

Christmas Cupcakes in a Cup

For this fun yet simple gift all I needed was some fresh-baked Christmas cupcakes from the bakery at my favorite Publix, a few clear, plastic cups (the short, wide ones), some decorative cellophane, ribbon and some tiny bells shaped like ornaments to give the packaging that little something extra.

Once you have everything you need it’s as simple as placing a cup in center of a square sheet of cellophane, putting a cupcake inside the cup, then wrapping the whole thing in the cellophane and tying it off with a ribbon and bow.

You can always add a tag or name card, to add another personal touch, too. The entire process took me about 10 minutes to make 6 of them, and cost under $20!
