Section off an area for your seasonal Christmas decorations. Between the outdoor festive lights and the faux Christmas tree, you will need a solid area to keep these accessories safely stored. Ensure that your time decorating is an activity the whole family can enjoy, without the stress of searching for that one special Christmas ornament in the piles of holiday ornaments and decorations!

Your Living Room

Another simple way to organize your home for the holidays is to keep the flat surfaces in the room clutter-free. When you don’t have the time to clean, you can trick your brain into thinking that your living area is organized by simply keeping your coffee and end tables clear of that everyday clutter.

Another tip to keep in mind when maintaining an organized sitting room is to control your cords! There should be almost none insight to eliminate the feeling of disorganization. With family in town for the season, you want to present your home in the best fashion. Allowing your living space to be an area of relaxation will make everyone feel at home. Luckily, there are plenty of kitchen hacks that can help you organize your pantry, drawers, and refrigerator accordingly.

Planning out your meals can help keep you organized as well. When you know the exact meals you have to make, you won’t buy any unnecessary food! You will also have the luxury of knowing how long you will need to be in the kitchen, giving you a great heads up to plan your day.

The Bathroom

With a small space, like your bathroom, it’s crucial to utilize every inch of space you do have. Smart organization is the way to do this. Invest in a shoe organizer to hang over your door, and sneak in easy storage for your hair and makeup – and other products that usually take up a lot of counter space. Similar to your living room, you want to keep the flat areas clear of unnecessary clutter.

Many of us have family stay with us during the holidays, and it’s important to handle this with ease, giving them space to store their own products. To add some festive accents, leave room throughout the bathroom to include small decorations. A small wreath in the window or a nice candle on the back of the toilet can do wonders for your holiday guests!
